Your mission, rated critical - locate and rescue a downed pilot behind enemy lines. Your strategy – use the pilot’s last known co-ordinates, sent out by his distress call, to track down your rescue target. Your challenge – find and transport the injured pilot to a secure ‘evac’ point without being spotted by enemy forces.
This is Kippure Estate’s Escape & Evade challenge, a team building corporate event that requires your elite unit to strategically work together as a collective force. You and your fellow rescuers will use your newly acquired compass and map-reading skills to locate the fallen pilot and the safe house. Additionally, you will transfer yourselves across a river by constructing a bridge using materials and instructions retrieved at another set of co-ordinates. Ingenuity is required to build this rope bridge so that each participant can get across. This mission is difficult in nature, but it is an adrenaline-rushing teambuilding experience, where each member of the elite unit will have an important role to play.
Unit sizes may range from 8 to 24 participants divided into teams of 8 to 12 rescuers. Teams score points for completing the mission in the allotted time and lose points if spotted by enemy patrols or if they fail to retrieve all of the equipment needed to complete the rope bridge. The winning team is not necessarily the one to finish the mission first, it is the squad which has the highest final score at the end of the challenge. If your team is triumphant, you will be added to the season’s ‘Mission Leader Board’. The top two company teams will be invited back to compete head-to-head in a final mission at the end of the year.
