The Toy Factory - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Imagine children’s faces filling with joy as their parents, who have been in financial struggle, give them a gift for a special holiday – a gift that you and your workmates made while having the time of your life. Your donation of time and artistry will prevent these parents from worrying about scraping money together for Christmas and birthdays.

Kippure Estate offers a number of corporate social responsibility programmes including this one: The Toy Factory.

For this corporate team building exercise, you and your employees become “Santa’s workshop”. Your team’s challenge: to construct and paint a myriad of wooden toys, including cars, doll houses, bikes and forts. Once the toys are assembled and the paint is dry, they will be donated to a charity that helps children and their families in need. Kippure Estate can research potential organizations and allow you to choose one that your employees are most passionate about.

Team motivation and support will blossom throughout the day as participants will want to be as highly productive, while helping each other and having fun, so they can donate as many gifts as possible to underprivileged children.

This toy factory team event can also include an additional element of corporate social responsibility. Kippure Estate could source all of the toys from Irish companies in order to support and sustain local businesses, potentially including a company that employ staff with learning and social disabilities.

The Toy Factory CSR team building event allows workmates to develop socially responsible attitudes towards their company, their workmates and to life outside the corporate walls. You can either choose for your company to participate in the programme at Kippure Estate or any venue across Ireland.

	You will be making a difference in the lives of children in need.
	Participants will reflect on their own values towards community as individuals and as part of a corporate group.
	Colleagues will work together as a team to complete as many toys as possible for needy children.
	Workmates will become mentors to one another as they identify their own strengths and needs during the toy-making process.
	Members of your company will build team dynamics and morale as they interact at a fun, lively and productive event.

	Kippure Estate event managers will help facilitate the work schedule, provide instructions for tasks and allocate wood and paint supplies accordingly.
	Your employees will assemble and paint wooden toys during the allocated time.
	Throughout the toy factory event, you have the option of scheduling debriefing sessions where group facilitators highlight learning opportunities, strengths and attitudes and team dynamics.
	The toys are donated to a children’s charity of your choice.
