At Kippure Corporate,
we believe that "The
company that laughs... lasts!"
Learning through Fun
We are known for our creative team building training programmes
that develop strong, productive teams. Our method is a little
bit science, a little bit art, a little bit magic and a whole
lot of good old-fashioned common sense and fun!
The Fun of Learning
Learning is most effective when it involves active participation.
Experiential learning aims not to teach concepts, skills and
value, but empowers people to change the way they think and
behave.
In an experiential learning programme the learners are 'on
their feet', the mind, body and emotions are all engaged.
'Learning by doing' dynamically engages the participant in
the educational process, making the corporate training programme
an active process rather than the more traditional style training
where participants are mere passive recipients of information.
NOTE: These activities are always accompanied
by debriefs, brain storming sessions and group work so that
participants recognise learnings and apply them back to the
workplace.
If you want to inspire fresh, out-of-the-box thinking, you
have to take people 'out of the box'. Team Building Training
and Experiential Learning does this in two ways. Firstly,
by bringing people outside of their normal working environment,
and secondly by helping people to see the barriers they put
up - barriers that could keep them from contributing to the
success of their organisation.
While many of the team building games we use contain scenarios
that create a fantasy backdrop, their scripts are internally
consistent and realistic in conveying how and why a team works
or how and why it is constrained. The participants are like
actors in a play. They determine the outcome of the scene
through the way they play their parts.
Activities are fun and memorable - but simply using the activities
does not mean that any meaningful learning will take place.
Effective facilitation needs to guide participants towards
seeing, recognising and better understanding the patterns
of relationships and processes that affect their work environment.
The Kippure Corporate self-discovery team building approach
is multi-dimensional. Some workshops are aimed at understanding
the nature of common team building objectives such as communication
skills, trust, creativity or problem solving. Other workshop
designs may address diversity issues (i.e. cultural, gender,
social), leadership training or team inductions. At either
end of the spectrum of team building workshop design, our
experiential learning programmes can add tremendous value
to the effect of team building processes. And a process it
is! Unfortunately, there is no magical answer; no secret that
once revealed will instantly transform the team. We realise
that team building is not instantaneous; it is a process and
a journey of self-discovery.
Team Building Tasks
The action learning activities we utilise offer a team fun
and engaging ways to learn and practice the skills of teamwork.
The format we use is interactive and highly-participatory.
Participants in our team building programmes find the experience
enjoyable as well as educational. Kippure Corporate focuses
on creating an inclusive atmosphere were all members of a
group, regardless of ability, feel comfortable participating
in our programmes.
Happy Journey!
